Television script for 4 hour miniseries
This is an adaptation of Gregory Benford's science fiction novel of the same name. It was commissioned by the F/X network, with Jan De Bont executive producing.

This is an old favourite of mine, an adaptation of Melvyn Bragg's novel set in 1802 in the Lake District. I wrote it at the same time as writing the original screenplay of The Last Templar, and the script found its way to Robert DeNiro, who soon afterwards announced in Variety that he intended to produce the movie and star in it, as Hope. Several actors (Johnny Depp, Colin Firth) were linked to it at various times, as were several Oscar-winning directors (Fernando Trueba, Carlos Saura). It came close to being made in 2000, with Oscar-winning director Bille August directing, but during pre-production, the foot-and-mouth disease struck and all the locations of the movie became off-limits, as the area it was set in was badly hit by the disease.

Television script for 90-minute drama
This is the pilot episode for an original series I wrote in 2004 for Red Productions and the BBC. It's a drama set in Baghdad in the immediate aftermath of the invasion, and revolves around the lives of foreign journalists based there.
